Primary research interest and efforts:
Dr. Vos studies potential mechanisms and therapies for pediatric nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Specifically, she is studying the role of fructose and added sugars in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and the associated increased risk of cardiovascular disease through epidemiologic studies of national nutrition databases and through meal challenge feeding studies in children.
